EspañolThanks to your support, we are making a difference for wildlife in El Salvador. Over the past five years, your support is protecting critically endangered spider monkeys,, setting aside land for protection and forming El Salvador’s first world surfing reserve in coalition with local partners to promote sustainable tourism.
On this small exclusive trip you will experience these projects first-hand, hike in forests and tour freshwater wetlands. The highlights for the group will be meeting our dynamic collaborators and team members, relaxing at the beach, or taking in views atop volcanoes.
Our Itinerary
Day 1, Friday, February 7, 2025
After arrival at San Salvador International Airport (SAL), scheduled transfer to the city hotel.
Day 2, Saturday, February 8, 2025
After breakfast, private guided tour in San Salvador’s historical City Center. Tour of National Palace is included. Optional early morning walk and birdwatching at Parque di Centario. Lunch on your own. Transportation to Hacienda Real Restaurant for dinner

Day 3, Sunday, February 9, 2025
Driving “The Route of the Flowers” road. Guided by a Paso Pacifico associate, we will visit Cerro Verde National Park, walk through the cloud forest, view arriving migratory birds and stop by the quaint coffee-growing villages of Nahuizalco, Juayua, and Concepción de Ata. We will then return to our city hotel in San Salvador.

Day 4, Monday, February 10, 2025
After breakfast, we will head east, visiting wildlife rescue centers. We will experience close encounters with the rescued animals and learn how your support improves their care. Our final destination is the Las Flores Resort on the eastern coast.

Day 5, Tuesday, February 11, 2025
This is a day to use the pool or enjoy beach activities, including swimming, surfing, and walking. If sea turtle hatchlings are coming up at our nearby hatchery of a local partner, you can participate in a turtle release around sunset. We will return to Las Flores.

Day 6, Wednesday, February 12, 2025
Today, we will visit projects near the hotel, including the community ranger program near Olomega Lake where you are helping us to protect forests and spider monkeys. Then we will join a birding tour on the water and an island visit to view petroglyphs from the Lenca people. We will travel to a nearby town to view the Gulf of Fonseca. We will return to the hotel for the evening.

Day 7, Thursday, February 13, 2025
After breakfast and check-out, we will travel westward on the coast, learning about the new world surfing reserve, continuing onward to the port city of La Libertad. Lodging will be at …….. where you can see surfers catch waves.

Day 8, Friday, February 14, 2025
After a farewell breakfast, we will begin transfers to the airport for your departure.

Travel Information
We limit this opportunity to 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
The price for the above arrangements is $2,099 per person, sharing a double room, or $3,139 per person for a single room.
This cost is based on 10 participants traveling together. If the group falls below 10, we may need to adjust the price accordingly.
